​The   MEF Survey on National Minimum Wages Rates was conducted in April 2018 with the objective of obtaining members’ feedback on:

• review rates of National Minimum Wages
• whether wages should be linked to certification

The Survey found that 63.5% of the respondent companies did not agree to the review of the current minimum wages while 36.5% of the respondent companies agreed to the review. The analysis also indicated that 63.5% of the respondent companies agreed that the wages of the employee should be linked to certified skills of the employees whilst 36.5% of the respondent companies indicated that they did not agree that wages of the employee should be linked to certified skills of the employees.
